Ana[b]log
So there's this thing called a "log," and it involves chronological entries about the travel of a ship or aircraft, generally using a pen and paper...
I got myself a journal this evening for my upcoming trip. My plan is to record all the wondrous and exciting things, places, and people that I see, do, eat, meet, and use as a test audience for some new material that I've been working on while overseas. I've had limited success in past attempts at journalizing, but my hope is to do a real travel journal - or at least an inept, shoddy version. Think poor man's Bill Bryson. Ideally after these two weeks I will have accumulated a daily record of events which I can then transcribe onto this here blog so that the eager masses (who are you) can live vicariously through the travels of MRhé (who is I).
Or I will soil and spend my down time drinking Guinness, eating goulash and punting. Either way.

I think I speak for a large portion of you readership when I say I look forward to your bourdaine-esque review
I'm jealous of your trip. You should definitely keep daily notes. (I've been told that a Moleskine is ideal.) I've done this on the last few trips, and while the details never reached the online in time for Web 2.0, the information has been a wonderful resource for me personally. And I can still tell you the name of the best pizza place in Iceland.
Have fun!
