I thought Hillary's speech was good. Fairly predictable in what she was expected to do - endorse Obama - but I thought it was pretty effective for Billary diehards.
This one's straight out of the "deranged narcissism of the Clintons" file (nod to Jeffrey Toobin from last night on CNN, who absolutely ripped Billary apart in thoroughly entertaining fashion).
Think any of her supporters are in denial?

Well he did it - In what has seemed to me to be an interminable primary election, Obama clinched the number of delegates necessary for the Democratic presidential nomination tonight. And there has been, and will be, a lot of talk about how he's the first black nominee for president - and that is both remarkable and noteworthy. It's an amazing outcome of a historic race. But the real story here - the real importance - is that this is the first step toward a better United States of America.

Obama made his momentum in the race official last night as he drew ahead of Hillary in the delegate count with his sweep of the so-called Potomac Primaries in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. CNN has him at 1,215 to Hillary's 1,190. Not only did he win but he won by a considerable margin, and his appeal has reached an even broader base cutting across all demographics, especially as he won over Latinos (albeit a small percentage of the population but still bodes well for the upcoming Texas primary), the lower-income demographic and split the white women vote (both of which were previously the sole province of Hillary).
I feel more and more committed to Obama's candidacy as each day passes. We are watching the greatest, most important presidential race of our lifetimes, and it will have a historic result.
It was Hillary's race to lose a mere week ago. It's Obama's race to win now.

Fantastic weekend for the junior senator from Illinois. He swept small but nevertheless influential caucuses and primaries across the board and decreased Hillary's delegate lead to a mere 27 according to CNN.
The upcoming Potomac Primaries tomorrow will be huge. Split voting will keep the race tight; Hillary could make a stand and reverse Obama's recent trend; victories by Obama would further enhance his burgeoning status as Candidate of the Hour. Conventional wisdom seems to hold that Obama has the edge in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. Josh Patashnik says that this isn't necessarily the case, and makes a good argument as to why that is.
Fantastic showing by Obama last night in small but important caucuses in Washington and Nebraska, and a primary in Louisiana. He ran the table last night, and by estimates as of this writing collected roughly twice as many delegates as Hillary, closing an already small gap between the two Democratic candidates. He and Hillary both spoke at the Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Virginia last night. Hillary's speech was uninspiring and forgettable. Obama followed it up with this:
