Lack of Defeat

(Boston.com)

With their 48-27 win over the Dallas Cowboys, the New England Patriots improved their record to 6-0.

Although the Pats weren't perfect, this was a very impressive win over another undefeated team coming into the contest. The Pats got out to a brilliant 14-0 start in the first quarter, but a FG and a fumble by Brady on a sack turned into a TD for the Cowboys. 14-10 Pats, then another NE TD and a couple Dallas TDs led to a 24-21 Dallas lead. The Pats weren't fazed, however, and went on to put up a whopping 26-3 point differential in the remainder of the second half. Check out these numbers for New England:

  • Brady: 31/46, 388 yds., 5 TDs, 0 INT
  • Seven different NE receivers were hit by Brady
  • Stallworth: 7 recs for 136 yds. and 1 TD
  • Moss: 6 recs for 59 yds. and a TD
  • Welker: 11 recs for a career-high 124 yds and 2 TDs
Welker impresses me more and more every week. He's small but he's quick, wily, and tough, juking and squirming his way into what seems like several yards after every reception. He's also impressive on kick and punt returns. He ran some beautiful routes today.

With as much non-homerism as I can muster, this team is incredible to watch and will be very, very tough to beat.

I'm looking at you, Peyton (and Steele).

Really the only bad side about this game is that Dunndee was there without me. Insanely jealous.
