I can't believe this is being brought up again; the players' and manager's comments on it are good enough for me. It's just ridiculous.

But I love this ending passage about Francona's making a call at Mirabelli:

Before he left, Mirabelli stopped by Francona's office to again register his anger with the broadcast.

Francona, who enjoys using Mirabelli as a foil, said: "What are you doing? Can you just play every five days and not talk?"
