New Books, Slightly Used
It's been some time since I last patronized the Newton Free Library quarterly book sale, but I went today - on such a grim, rainy Saturday morning it was actually perfect to spend my time in a cramped library basement with a bunch of malodorous oddballs - and came away with some good stuff for $19:
- The Yiddish Policemen's Union, by Michael Chabon
- Wonder Boys, by Michael Chabon
- Rise to Rebellion, by Jeff Shaara
- The Steel Wave, by Jeff Shaara
- Lords of the North, by Bernard Cornwell
- Sword Song, by Bernard Cornwell
- England, England, by Julian Barnes
- Death and Restoration, by Iain Pears
- Purity of Blood, by Arturo Pérez-Reverte
- Naked Pictures of Famous People, by Jon Stewart
- Out of This World, by Graham Swift
- Man of War, by Allan Mallinson
- Marjorie Morningstar, by Herman Wouk
- Underworld, by Don DeLillo
