Day 1: International Departures

The following is the first in a series of entries from my travel journal chronicling my recent trip to Europe. Aside from some minor edits, these represent my thoughts and observations over the course of the trip. You can click here for the archived entries.

Day 2

Logan International Airport - Boston, MA, USA 06/06/08

I arrived at Logan about two and 1/2 hrs. before my flight was scheduled to depart. I had checked in online, and was able to speed through not only the bag drop but customs as well. It was wonderful - the whole process took about ten minutes. Faster than some of the domestic flights I have taken! Granted, there was hardly any line, but still appreciated. I had expected a bit of a circus. Of course the flip side of this is that I had about two hours to kill before departure. Met Mom at the gate shortly after. Inhaled some Sbarro's and she pointed out that our aircraft is named "St. Padraig."
Bodes well!

What reference? St. Padraig? It's St. Patrick.

I assume you can figure out the rest?
