Revenge is a dish best served the evening after a shellacking at the hands of the MFNYY.

After a horrendous display on Wednesday night, the Beantown Boys came roaring back with an offense centered around that bad, bad man Mr. Manny Ramirez. Manny had 3 hits - a single and two homers - the second of which was an absolute bomb off Mussina. Ramirez knocked out taters #494 and #495. Five more until he hits the nickel mark. Amazing. How does Manny himself feel about it?

Getting excited by 500? "Why, I'm going to hit 600," Ramírez said in what is becoming a standard refrain. (Boston.com)
Beckett threw an excellent line of 8IP, 6H, 3ER, 1BB, 5K. Tacoby Bellsbury swiped two bags - and the second time was on a pitchout!

Good win to split in the Bronx. Now we've got Texas at home tonight.
