A Small Gap Narrows
Fantastic showing by Obama last night in small but important caucuses in Washington and Nebraska, and a primary in Louisiana. He ran the table last night, and by estimates as of this writing collected roughly twice as many delegates as Hillary, closing an already small gap between the two Democratic candidates. He and Hillary both spoke at the Jefferson-Jackson dinner in Virginia last night. Hillary's speech was uninspiring and forgettable. Obama followed it up with this:

Some counts (especially if you don't count "superdelegates" who aren't bound to their current statements of loyalty) already have Obamania in the lead.
I am quite impressed to see your sudden interest in Election 2008!
Yes we can!!
@Foon: According to CNN Obama's got the lead in pledged delegates 971 to 915, so Hillary's 89 more superdelegates only puts her ahead by 33. And he's currently leading the Maine returns!
@Mean Rachel: With you out of the country, someone had to take up the mantle of political blogging.
Big O took Maine!
I can't wait for TX to bring it home for him! Take that Dubya. We never liked you when you were gubner and we don't like you as our lame-duck Prez.
MR: Texas is the key, the final torpedo into the ammunition locker of the SS Billary, and all of us Yanks (and ex-pats) are counting on *you* to be manning the periscope.
OK. Enough of that random submarine metaphor. Not really sure where it came from.
@Rachel: He took out his broom and cleaning products, swept the floor and really cleaned house this weekend!
Oops, sorry about that random maid metaphor. Not sure where that came from
@Porkins: Let's take this one primary at a time. This Tuesday will be huge. If Obama can keep his momentum going then Hillary will be in trouble, but at the moment it's a dogfight. Of course if he ends up taking Poor Man's Mexico, then the GOP will be quaking in their booties come November.
I like the kid's chances.
