What Are You Listening To?

I have some iTunes cash to spend and I'm interested in checking out some new music. Any new tunes (or old faves) that my fellow Blogospherians are listening to these days?

My favorites lately are Jens Lekman, Bon Iver(new label re-release in Feb, I think), the new album from Rogue Wave, Radical Face and Young Galaxy. How about you?

I'm absolutely in love with Goapele and Sia. Goapele is an R&B/Soul singer out of Cali and Sia is an Australian who used to sing with Zero 7 (who I adore!).

Old & new radiohead is always a good investment.

My other suggestion would be to get an 80s compilation. It's super ultra cheezy, but so worth it.

Oh! and last but not least, if you can always test drive some music through www.pandora.com

;)

Wow I haven't even heard of any of these (except for Radiohead and, um, the '80s). Thanks for the suggestions; I'll have to peep some samples.

Recently I've been listening to the new Plant & Krauss, the new Alicia Keys, John Mayer, Jake Armerding, Tim McGraw and Lupe Fiasco. At least according to my "Recently Played" list.

I know 80s was a ridiculous suggestion, but I am listening to a Micheal Jackson inspired playlist through Pandora radio (pandora.com) and.. well.. naturally there are a shit ton of 80s songs on there, to which I'm air-guitaring and head bopping and ass wiggling.

I'm a geek. I admit it.

I can't get enough of Ingrid Michelson and A Fine Frenzy (female piano singer-songwriters).
Both put Alicia Keys to shame.

If you haven't spent it already, go get Boxer, by the National. Fantastic album.
