A Chilly Reminder

Ugh. Days like this remind me why I want to move out of New England.

It was below zero at my house this morning. That is just too damn cold.

D'you wanna trade for Paris?

Pros: Warmer winters. Great food & wine.
Cons: no Sox, no NESN... :-(

I do NOT know how you all handle that weather up there. It dips to 30 down here and we all start to freak out. I live near DC, btw.

I biked to work this morning. It was cold enough to freeze the snot inside the nose and turn sweat to snow.

Unpleasant.

Ernie: Indeed. Too damn cold. The Islands sound great right about now...luckily we're back to a balmy 32F tomorrow.

Iain: Most definitely. At least for a while. It would give me a chance to pratiquer ma français.

MR: True enough. It was actually bright and sunny today as well as being cold as whoa.

Deutlich: Is DC really much warmer? What's it been like this winter so far?

Scottosnot: Unpleasant to read about as well.

It really has been. I've got a bunch of friends in Boston and we've been bantering about the (much) warmer climate down here.

I think the lowest we've seen is 25 and that was today (or yesterday).

I couldn't handle the single digits. I'd freak out. I think. Yes.

Oh, and absolutely no snow aside from 1/10" of "accumulation," which stopped all traffic.

Virginians are idiots when it comes to any precipitation.
