Schoolin' Them Dice

Last night I saw the James Montgomery Blues Band rock the Blues Barge at the Boston Harbor Hotel. Laura was the only one who chose to be A-side and check out the scene. Montgomery is the consummate showman, and put on a tremendous performance as usual. During one of the set breaks I ventured into the Wharf Bar in the hotel, where I chatted with the bartender and some grim dude at the end of the bar about the Sox and their rainout last night. The grim dude said something like, "Have you been listenin' to that guy out theah? I heard 'im play thirty yeeahs ago!" That was fun. I also got a $12.50 martini. But it was a big one, and it was Hendrick's. Pure delight.
