I didn't watch one second of the Sox vs. Royals opener in Kansas City. Granted, most of the game was over before I got home, but I plumb forgot about the game. It just doesn't feel like baseball season to me yet. Shameful, I know.
But, one cool thing that I did was read Schilling's take on his performance. This provided an interesting, detailed, immediate reaction to his start without the filter of the media. Schill discusses specific counts, pitches, what happened in each AB. It's really quite fascinating, and sports journalism at its most pure, perhaps - a professional athlete pouring out his thoughts directly to the entire online world. This is kind of an interesting phenomenon (not to say that Schill is necessarily the first athlete who's done this, but the first I know of - and he certainly has a lot to say).
Beckett tomorrow. I will check it out.

a little thing i discovered was you can get mlb.com to send you updates via text for a nominal fee...its pretty clutch for when at work and whatnot

no wonder you're not in a baseball mood... we're getting a snow storm tomorrow. well, you know what we say about that new england weather: "yeah, i want to move to florida, too."
