Scottoway at His Best

When Scott's at his best, he's good. Interesting, insightful, witty commentary. Even the criticism this time is reasonable. Cheers.

In an entirely unrelated story, Scottoway and I had a very productive business lunch at the Purple Shamrock on Wednesday. Topics discussed: the Mid East situation, Gina, deez, doze, dis, dat and de other.

arg, why doesn't scott have comments? sugar is EXTREMELY tasty but equal has no calories!!

Scott doesn't have comments for the following reasons:

A) He doesn't have a blog.

B) He doesn't like to hear logical counter-arguments.

also, what nutrients does sugar have. i thought sugar was just sugar. like a naturally occuring element or something. no, really. mikey, sorry to use your blog like this. ;)

I'm afraid Mike is right on both counts. Sorry.

Regarding sugar: it's a natural carbohydrate. It's a source of energy. It's the primary nutrient in fruit. If you eat raw sugar, you're not going to get the vitamins and minerals and fiber that you would get if you ate an apple, but gram for gram it is still fuel for your body.

"mikey, sorry to use your blog like this."

That's what she said?

some wikipediaing learned me the sugar has, like, iron and riboflavin and some other (small amounts of) good stuff. who knew? i thought it was pure carb and i don't really think of that as nutritious (sp? drunk?) but i realize it's part of a healthy diet and all that. that being said, i appreciate equal's dietary neutrality because it makes my morning coffee negligible in my daily calorie count.

also, mikey: one point, though giving you points is generally against my religion.

i started to leave the longest comment ever, then realized it was the longest comment ever, then gave up and put it on my own blog. this kills two birds with one stone because I haven't blogged in 4-EVA.
