Otherwise: one of those "fun" episodes to break up the melodrama. Glad they're back to the original crew. Kate, Sayyid, Locke and Rousseau (those last two sound like a Phil 8 reading assignment) heading back to rescue Jack?

fun, useless, WHATEVER. i agree that it was nice to get back to hurley, charlie, sun and jin, but following the useless episode about jack's tattoo... why don't the writers just send everyone a letter that says, "look. we don't have any idea what's going on, either. just sit tight. in the meantime here's some stunt casting and answers to the shows most titilating question--how did hurley get fat?"
Yes I would never have guessed that his obesity was a direct result of overeating, including candy bars.
And buying a goddamn fried chicken fast food joint.
