Weird

Three people in the last few weeks have commented to me, "You look tan." This is weird for a number of reasons:

  1. I most definitely do not look tan.
  2. I am a pasty Franco-Canuck potatophage.
  3. Even when I actually am tan, people don't comment on how tan I am.
Perhaps I'm more ruddy-faced these days? Maybe I blush a lot? Who knows.

Weird.

I think "looking tan" is code for "looking hot" ;)

Aye Ben told me you each got a couple actually...I will tally soon. There are a bunch in arrears. This point admin is so taxing on my resources.

if anyone deserves any points, it's not me but rather the amazing-ass bartender, heavy handed with the jameson and the friendly banter. weird downstairs frangelico-drinking may-17th-wagon-falling bartender, on the other hand, um, weird. it is indeed sad that we didn't see you there, mike.

Indeed. But I shall be at future Pickin' Tuesdays, have no fear.

Pickin' waits for no man.

Also, it's hard to judge whether you are actually giving the bartender a point or not. For whatever reason, newer members of the Scoreboard tend to be hesitant about asserting their point-giving. Just be strong: "A point to the amazing-ass bartender*!"

*Did he have some serious junk in the trizzunk?

ah, I didn't know that I (or anyone but you) could just dole out points. I have to say I didn't actually notice the bartender's ass, because I was too busy being knocked on my own ass after the "shot" of jameson this guy poured. anyhoo, point to the amazing-ass bartender!

Oh yes; once you're on the board then you can give out points.

Hence the reason why the Scoreboard is bloated with undeserving folks and inanimate objects.

anne said...

oh snap, undeserving folks? can't you exercise Point Veto Power? (PVP)?

MRhé said...

Technically, no. Since points can be assigned by anyone to anyone, I'm obligated to put them up.

However, I do exercise some de facto veto power when it comes to inanimate objects...
