LOST

I missed the first twenty or so minutes of LOST on Wednesday; caught up last night.

Wow! Although I'm caught between a "Wow!" and an "Uh oh."

I guess this will continue for the remainder of the series. Perhaps I should just enjoy it for what it is and forget about any Great Revelations the show might fail to present. Desmond's one of my favorite characters; his story is a fascinating one, and this last episode built on a layer touched upon earlier this season - his ability to see the future, in part, in seemingly arbitrary, uncontrollable flashbacks (flashforwards?).

We have, on the one hand, the wholly unsatisfying possibility that the show is an exercise in Desmond's solipsism. A concussion lets his subconscious mind create an incredible adventure and a slew of characters?

On the other, we have the rather more interesting time travel/Big Huge Science Experiment by Evil Men/weird natural phenomena/who-the-hell-knows-what possibility. I'm leaning toward the latter at the moment.

It's a fun ride. Don't stop the LOST Train; I have no desire to get off.
