Quarantine

In a small office, everyone goes into panic mode whenever one of the team is sick. Yesterday I woke up with cold symptoms and went in - I was hardly on my deathbed. But after a fairly unproductive day due to low energy, the brilliant strategery of General Malaise, and the entreaty of my colleagues to "please stay home so you don't get us all sick," I've decided to take the safe route and convalesce today at Hospital 259.

On the recommendation of several of my fellows, I've been taking some Airborne (I know it's intended to strengthen the immune system before one gets sick, but I figured all this extra Vitamic C won't hurt). I'm always dubious about these things, but I think it might have a fairly potent placebo effect at the very least. The original orange flavour is a tasty, smooth, invigorating beverage that is definitely helping me return to 100% (trying to get the placebo ball rolling here).

Also - Odwalla's Citrus C Monster smoothie is good stuff.

Heather sent me a link to this rig called the Great American Book Giveaway. Each week you can enter to win one of five books. It's a cool idea, and a pretty good way to advertise these new titles and authors. This week's selection isn't exactly up my alley, but there's potential.

More importantly, I need to make sure I'm at 100% for the arrival of a *certain* Dunndee this weekend. Lord knows my immune system is going to be put through the ringer again.

i definitely back airborne, or at the least the generic cvs version. i took it before leaving and during my first few jet lagged days in china and did not get sick despite little sleep and very cold temps.

Yeah that stuff worked wonders. I felt a lot better even late yesterday afternoon. I picked up some more of it yesterday, including the nighttime formula, which is like a herb-infused apple cider.
